Premier Christian Radio: A Peak into Muyiwa’s world

SIMISOLA: I’m standing in central London, right in front of Premier Radio, where our host Muyiwa works, so we’re going to go behind the scenes and check out what he does.  Come on!

Muyiwa is a man who wears many hats: television host, musician and today, radio host.

I followed Muyiwa as he gave the Ambassador of Nigeria to the UK, High Commissioner Dozie Nwanna, a little tour of his radio grounds.

MUYIWA: Welcome to my world.  Goodbye. We’ll see you upstairs.

SIMISOLA: Okay. This is Muyiwa’s suite, Premier Radio, we’re going to go and take a look, see what he does. Come on in.

I walked through the hallways of Premier Studios anxious to see what it was like up there. I was kind of curious to know what happens before the red light goes on in the recording booth. So I got a sneak peek into their conversation before the radio interview began.

MUYIWA: [On the Radio] And then we have different styles of Gospel music — we’ve got African, Latin, Jazz, Reggae.

SIMISOLA: And I got the chance to hear the interview as it was recording live.

MUYIWA: [On the Radio] He’s a senior man in the world of uh of government, effectively the number one citizen of Nigeria here in the UK. Your Excellency, thank you so much for joining us on Gospel Tonight.

HIGH COMMISSIONER: [On the Radio] Thank you. It’s my pleasure to be here.

SIMISOLA:     Muyiwa was, of course, a natural.
