HOST: Do you believe there is a hell, Debbie?
DEBBIE: Not really, no. I don’t know that I believe there’s really anything after life.
HOST: Do you have a reason why you believe that?
DEBBIE: Uh, no, I mean, I had quite a religious upbringing, and so I’ve kind of seen the two sides -- and, I just don’t think there’s anything in it.
WOMAN: So, I believe there’s a good and there’s a bad end. Hell is the bad, heaven is the good.
MAN 1: It is in God’s Word that whosever’s name is not found in the Book of Life shall be cast in the lake of fire, burning with brimstone and fire. You know, so, -- even though I’ve not really seen it, but I believe God’s Word. I believe whatever is said by God is true, so there’s no doubt for me - there’s no reason for me to doubt about the existence of hell.
MAN 2: This life experience we’re in can be heaven or hell, it depends - it’s very much dependent on your state of mind.
MAN 3: There is heaven and hell. According to the Scriptures, there is heaven and hell. And for sure, the reason why Jesus came is so that He could save us from hell. So hell is there.
MAN 4: Because there are good people and there are bad people, and so there must be a place where good people should go to and where bad people should go it. It is just natural. It is just logical. I don’t think we all should go to the same places.
WOMAN 2: I believe hell is a state of mind and that we create it within ourselves.
WOMAN 3: I think we are living in hell. There’s no such thing as a real hell up there or down there.
WOMAN 4: It’s all fairy tales. Heaven is a fairy tale and hell, well, we’re right in it, except we don’t have the flames.
MAN 5: Yes, there is hell, so that is why it is good for you to amend your ways while on earth, so that you are able to get eternity. Hell is real, no two ways about it.
HOST: Some people believe that hell is right here on earth, is that true?
MAN 5: Ah, no. No, I don’t believe hell is here on earth I only believe that yes, you can begin to experience some of the things that you experience in hell if you are not living right with God here on earth. But when you go there, you will really see hell. But I don’t believe that hell is here on earth. It’s not like that.
